XPLORE
XPLORE is a university project focused on improving long-term student engagement on the UNiDAYS app by introducing a feature inspired by TikTok Shop. The idea explores how integrating short-form video content with direct product discovery and student discounts could create a more interactive shopping experience for students. By combining entertainment with personalised recommendations and easy purchasing, XPLORE aims to encourage students to use the app more frequently and stay engaged with the platform over time.

Fresher's event
University students are often highly attracted to Freshers’ events because of the free products, discounts, and exclusive brand giveaways available. These events create excitement around discovering new brands while helping students save money during a financially demanding stage of life. Xplore builds on this behaviour by bringing a similar experience into the UNiDAYS app, using engaging content to showcase products, offers, and student-focused deals in a way that feels rewarding and interactive.
Xplore responds to recent studies suggesting that students are developing shorter attention spans due to the rise of fast-paced digital content and social media usage. Instead of relying on traditional browsing methods, the project introduces short-form, engaging content that quickly captures student attention while promoting relevant products and discounts within the UNiDAYS app. By adapting to the way students already consume content online, Xplore creates a more interactive and convenient experience that encourages continued engagement and app usage.
Blind bags have become increasingly popular among Generation Z because they combine shopping with surprise and excitement. The mystery element creates anticipation and encourages repeat purchases, as users enjoy the experience of discovering unexpected products or collectibles. This trend reflects Gen Z’s preference for interactive and entertaining shopping experiences,

Confident Chameleon
The Creative Consciousness project focuses on collaboration between university students and graphic design students in South Africa to explore creativity, cultural exchange, and socially conscious design. The project encourages students to work together on visual communication ideas that reflect different perspectives, experiences, and communities. Through this international collaboration, students develop creative skills, broaden their understanding of global design practices, and create work that promotes meaningful social impact.
